410 Steel – W. Nr. 1.4006 / UNS S41000

410 Stainless Steel is a hardenable martensitic chromium-only stainless steel designed to offer a balance between mechanical strength, hardness, and corrosion resistance.
Oil quench from temperatures between 982°C and 1066°C (1800°F–1950°F) to achieve maximum strength and wear resistance while maintaining good corrosion resistance. Ideal for highly stressed mechanical parts requiring a mix of strength and durability in moderately corrosive environments.

Reference standards:

• ASTM A276 / A479
• ASTM A240 (in sheet)
• ASME SA240
