Alloy A286 INCOLOY® A286 – W. Nr. 1.4980 / UNS S66286 / ASTM A638, B564, B366

Alloy A286 INCOLOY® A286

Alloy A286 INCOLOY® A286 is an iron-nickel-chromium-based alloy with additions of molybdenum, titanium, and vanadium, designed to be precipitation hardenable. This alloy offers high mechanical properties and oxidation resistance up to 700°C (1300°F).

Thanks to its excellent tensile strength, fatigue resistance, and resistance to deformation under load (creep), Alloy A 286 is ideal for critical applications such as:

  • Aircraft turbine components.
  • Components for power generation plants.
  • Fasteners for the automotive and Oil & Gas sectors.

Reference standards:

  • ASTM A638 (bars and forgings)
  • ASTM B564 (flanges and forgings)
  • ASTM B366 (fittings)
