HASTELLOY® C-4 is a highly corrosion-resistant nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy designed for applications in aggressive chemical environments, particularly in the presence of hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, and chlorides.
Unlike other similar alloys, HASTELLOY® C-4 is microstructurally stable, meaning it can be welded without risk of sensitization and the formation of harmful secondary precipitates in welded joints.
This alloy exhibits excellent resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking, as well as a remarkable ability to withstand both oxidizing and reducing environments, making it ideal for the chemical, pharmaceutical, and Oil & Gas industries.
